Teaching

In my teaching, my main goals are to help students learn to analyze ideas and arguments more deeply, to learn to interpret others’ views charitably, and to develop their curiosity and a love of learning. I present a picture of philosophy as a global human phenomenon, with philosophical puzzles, questions, challenges, and issues arising across history, languages, and cultures. I have taught:

The Deviant Philosopher

I am one of the creators of The Deviant Philosopher (www.thedeviantphilosopher.org) – a website devoted to helping philosophy instructors by providing them with teaching resources that help to include non-canonical philosophy in ways that are authentic, responsible, meaningful to students, and non-superficial.
